**Objective:**
Teams must coordinate to score baskets using both standard basketball shots and strategic boomerang tosses that must be caught and returned before a point can be attempted.

**Teams & Players:**
- 2 teams of 5 players
  - 3 standard court players
  - 1 boomerang tosser
  - 1 return catcher

---

**Field Layout:**
- Standard half-court basketball setup
- “Boomerang zone” marked behind the 3-point line
- Return catch zone opposite side near the sidelines

---

**Gameplay Cycle:**
1. The game begins with a traditional basketball tip-off.
2. Teams may attempt normal baskets for 2 points.
3. For a 3-point “Hooperang Shot,” a player in the boomerang zone tosses a foam boomerang to the catcher.
4. Once caught and returned successfully, the team earns the right to attempt a 3-point basket.
5. Missed catches result in a turnover.

**Scoring:**
- Standard basket: 2 points
- Hooperang basket: 3 points
- Interception of a boomerang pass: +1 point bonus

**Twist / Chaos Element:**
- “Boomerang Blitz”: At random intervals, the referee allows both teams to throw simultaneously
- “Catch Challenge”: Players must catch with one hand only during special rounds

---

**Safety Notes:**
- Use foam or safe plastic boomerangs only
- Helmets with face guards required for catchers
- Boomerangs may not be thrown above chest height
